January 26, 2018 – The Space Resources Roundtable (SRR) and the Planetary & Terrestrial Mining Sciences Symposium (PTMSS) will convene their ninth joint meeting June 12-15, 2018 at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.
The PTMSS seeks to promote a closer relationship between the space and mining sectors. The intent is to allow mining experts to network with space scientists and engineers, to share knowledge and foster collaboration.
The SRR brings together interested parties from the space exploration community, the financial sector, and mining and minerals industries to discuss issues related to the In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) of lunar, asteroidal and martian resources.
Since 2009, PTMSS and the Space Resources Roundtable have jointly hosted the annual PTMSS/SRR, alternating between Canada and the US.
Given the rapidly increasing interest for ISRU from space agencies around the globe, the private sector, academic institutions, and from recent legislation introduced for space-resource commercial exploitation, this meeting will provide a unique and timely discussion on near- and long-term opportunities for space resources.
Information on abstract submittal and other conference logistics will be posted to the SRR (www.isruinfo.com) and PTMSS (www.ptmss.ca) websites. Questions can be directed to Angel Abbud-Madrid (firstname.lastname@example.org).
